So we’re ‘on holiday’ for 10 days, alas two of those days are taken up by traveling which sucks. So we get 2.5 days and 3 nights in Rome before heading to Sicily.
There seems to be so much to do there there would never be enough time! But all the major tourist attractions like the Vatican, Colloseum, the Panthenon, and Trevi Fountain are all within walking distance of each other. I’ve also convinced boyfriend, somehow, to go to the Rome Olympic Stadium. You can’t go inside so it’ll be a quick visit, but it’s near the river and the Bioparca (zoo and park) so that’ll be nice.
Then in Sicily we have 2 nights and most of 2 days in Palermo, we still need to book our train from Palermo to Agrigento. In Palermo we might visit the beach, but it’s the capital of Sicily so it’s worth a visit.
I’m really looking forward to Agrigento, we only have 1 day and night here but it’s where the Valley of The Temples is. Essentially, it’s a valley full of old temples, I think this day will be really cool and, paradoxically, really hot and it might kill be to walk around all day in the heat.
Then onto Catania where we have 3 nights and 2 days. One day will be going to Mt Etna which will be a bit of a pain to get to without a car, so that’s something that still needs looking into. And we might go to the fancy beachy bit in Taormina.
Then we spend a day flying back, with a connection in Dusseldorf.
